Love Your Body

Fat, thin, fair, dark, short, tall, proportionate, disproportionate or whatever kind of body you have, LOVE it! For as long as you are healthy and not popping pills for some serious disorder or worse still, in the hospital, you are fine. Trust me, you are!

The very fact that you have enough time and opportunity to pick on your small – small flaws before someone else takes notice proves that God has been kind to you. There are so many people who would really want to have what you have. But they can’t. It’s your gift. So be grateful.

As you get older, you will realize the importance of so many parts of your body that you never even valued. They were all doing their job soundlessly. Once they start making a jolt, that’s when reality hits you. That’s when you can’t believe yourself for being so stupid for years, trying to find fault in something so good. You know what it was, once it is no more that.

I’m not saying that you don’t strive for betterment. You most definitely should. But don’t overdo it. Let it be for most of the time. Use that time to focus on things that make you happy. It will automatically translate to your health, to your body.

Someone wrote a line on a medical site as the conclusion of an in-depth explanation of fish allergy, that I was frantically reading but burst into laughter when I got to the end.

Life is too short to be spent worrying about fish allergy. So enough now.
