Broken

Countless pieces now remain
Of what was once one.
Yes, broken is what I am.
So is this it?

It could be the end.
For everything points so.
Both those on this side
And the opposite one.

To break they might get
But to remain broken
Is what I get
To choose or not.

Yes, broken I am
To you and myself.
In this moment, yes.
But not for long.

I’m not afraid to be broken
For I’m not afraid to be real.
For I can piece myself together
After broken, again and again and again.
