Do you ever feel alone,
Even in a crowd?
Even when there’s room
For no more?
Do you ever feel alone,
Even when everyone is
Nice to you,
Giving you enough to be grateful?
Do you ever feel alone,
Even when there’s so much
Sound around you,
Making it no more than noise?
Do you ever feel alone,
Knowing well there are many
Just like you
But none who really matter?
If you ever feel alone,
Know that it can change,
Not if someone else helps
But the moment you decide.
I like the positive note at the end

Thank you, Sir! I strongly believe that one can find the positive even in the most negative times. It’s one of the reasons I write. βΊ

This is a pleasant attempt to explore the idea of being alone. The fascinating part is that you have not fallen into a trap, and so you do not talk of loneliness which is a purely emotive feeling. One can be alone and yet not lonely. Good choice of subject π

Thank you so much, David! ππ
It means a lot that you were able to read between the lines and appreciate the finer nuances of the poem. π
