You are the Sun

It’s your universe.
It’s your story.
So here dear, you are the sun.

You are not just a planet,
Revolving around someone else.
Here, you are the sun.

Don’t let them fool you,
Into acting like what you are not.
For here, you are the sun.

You are burning alive inside,
Not yet burnt out and dead.
Here, you are the sun.

It doesn’t matter what others think.
It matters what you think.
So know, here, you are the sun.

Shine bright with all your might
Till they put their glares on.
For here, you are the sun.

Today, maybe setting,
But rise you will again tomorrow.
After all, you are the sun.

      1. Here’s to WordPress for helping us to tell each other it’s all gonna be fine, sitting at opposite ends of the world! πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚
        I will be fine, indeed.
Thanks again for being so gregarious with your appreciation.

  1. Well-imagined, Mia!

Moreover, you appear to be “setting” only to those who turn from your radiance.

Your glow continues to warm and brighten nonetheless. Something those in your universe will discover when they see you next. “Where have you been all this time?” Right here; I always was.”

    1. That is so wonderfully worded, Keith! πŸ™‚ Thank you for your kind words.
Yes, the Sun will always remain where it is, in all its power and glory. It is the ones that are warmed and yet turn away who will feel its absence. It’s their loss, not the Sun’s. πŸ™‚

Yes, we are all beautiful (in whichever way we want for beauty can mean different things to different people). πŸ™‚
