Today, I live.
But who can speak of tomorrow?
What if, I die tomorrow?
Today, I do so many things.
But is this how I want to die?
Should these be my last moments?
Today, I breathe.
But would I rather not really live?
Even if I had one day left?
Today, I worry about tomorrow.
But is there one?
What if, it’s the last one?
Today, I ask myself.
How would you like to go?
Only one reply – writing, writing, writing.
Today, so I write.
But of tomorrow, I know not.
What if, you too die tomorrow?
If I die tomorrow, my creditors will be very disappointed. 🙂

I liked this.At first I thought it was pessimistic, but found the idea of writing and keep writing as if that would ward off tomorrow. I then sensed the urgency to get things done – quickly – Then at the end I felt the poem relax – let today be the longest day and let tomorrow wait until I am done.
Good work.

Thank you so much James for offering me your time and wonderful insight! 🙂
Yes, you are right. The poem is a mix of many emotions – some pessimistic, some born of urgency and some purely optimistic. Isn’t that how life too is? 😅

Good conclusion: do what you would do today 🙂 Nice poem.

Beautiful poem.
One needs to die to live every single moment….to rebirth….to live as if that’s the only moment left….

Trying to outwit Fate is futile. When you live each day as though it’s the last, who’s to say tomorrow you won’t come up with a better way to use your time?
Better to follow your advice, Mia, and to let your life’s passion guide each day.
Truth is, none of us knows the day and time that’s ours. Instead of striving to “end” well, isn’t it better to have lived well? Besides, living well pretty much guarantees the final moment will be memorable, the culmination of a lifetime’s efforts.
Perceptive thoughts, Mia!

Thank you so much for your wonderful input, Keith! 🙂
Rather live each day as if it’s one’s last than regret not having done so!
And yes, the motive was to get people thinking. 😇

Hey! I came here from Luna’s blog. I’m so glad I did.
To answer your question, I honestly don’t know. It’s thought-provoking, really. I think I would like to die in the presence of all my loved ones but not so soon.

I’m glad you did. In btw, I remember your presence here before, like a long time back. 🙂
Making people think was the reason why I wrote this. If you got thinking, half my battle is won! 😀
Your way of wanting to go is indeed beautiful. Love is all there actually is. So good choice, dear.

Yeah, I remember, too. Didn’t think you would remember.😅 And I’m going to hang around this time.😁
That’s so true. Love is all there is.

Also, I guess you might find it weird but your answer reminded me of Jaime’s line from GOT about the way he would want to go, “In the arms of the woman I love.”
And he got it. At least in the show.

Not weird at all! I’m sure most people would rather die doing something they love (like sleeping😅) or being in the presence of their loved ones.
