  1. Very interesting, catchy little story Mia! That old thought that the grass is always greener. I am sure glad that I have past that part of life and have my best friend as a husband. Hope you have a great week Mia, Love Joni

I’m really glad to know that you are in a happy place right now. God bless! Which makes me just drop an Easter egg — you might as well look forward to my next Valentine’s Special. I think you will really like it! 🤗

  2. Your story suggests multiple possibilities, Mia, as do Valentine’s wishes themselves. Oftentimes, greetings are sufficiently vague, enough so to spare the wisher and the recipient humiliation if they have different goals in mind.

On the other hand, if they’re both after the same thing (or, if they already share an established relationship), the message is laden enough to express everything up to eternal love and devotion.

    So, which one is it?

We’re left to guess how substantive the greetings are, whether neither, one or both are interested in something “deeper” and, if so, what became of the protagonists.

Mysterious! …and Halloween’s still eight months away!

    1. Thank you so much for your support, Keith. 🙂

The tale was about two friends who might have both started of with similar dreams of finding love. While one was lucky enough to find it soon, the other was yet to. When one has been privy to the dreams of a friend for long and know how much they want something, the least that one can do is to share a bit of joy. It’s more or less like saying, “Sweetie, I know that you are not going to get to celebrate this occasion, even though you want to as you are a romantic. No one else may even wish you. But I will. That is the least that I can do. And I want to do it. Because you are my best friend.”

Sometimes, friends take priority over everything — even love.

I sort of feel bad that I couldn’t get the message across this time.

      1. I muddied the waters, and you made them clear. Thanks, Mia!

As a PoliSci grad, maybe I should stick to “Vote Tallies by Precinct” and not dabble in things I don’t understand. Yet still, I yearn for something more than…just spreadsheets.

Please, be patient with me. Still so much to learn.
