Then I surely would
See you in person.

There are so many sad stories,
So many happy glories
That I would share.

The smile which melts my heart,
Stopping an argument at the very start,
I would love to witness.

There is forgiveness in waiting,
In remedy to hating,
Which wants to find its way.

To hold you as mine,
With you perfectly fine,
Is all I want.

If I could,
Then I surely would
See you in person.

As I can’t
In this world of twisted realities,
I will see you in my dream.

  9. Exquisite, Mia. Expresses, superbly, the longing that has buffeted us all at times, yet which few can communicate effectively Until now, that is.

    Your art ascends dual peaks, not just in its beauty, but also in the diversity of situations it defines.

    In your writing many have spied love’s unfulfilled longing. There’s that, of course, but your words also hint at the more platonic attachments we form with those who enhance our lives online, make them glisten.

    Though most of these paths never cross, there is more than enough there to fill many a dream.

      Yes, you were smart enough to see that I was hinting at a plethora of situations that could exist for this theme. Some can be light while others can run deep. What both kinds have in common is the longing. That feeling when you really want to see someone… šŸ’•

      I’m more than glad to know that even online, people end up finding solace in “unseen” friends.
