Don’t remember me
For the mistakes I make.
For those in the past
Are certainly not going to be my last.
Remember me
For how I make amends.
Every now and then,
Even when I leave you wondering when.
Don’t remember me
For what I say.
For I may not have said
As much as I may have taken to bed.
Remember me
For how I stood beside you.
Whether you spelt it out
Or I myself figured out.
Don’t remember me
For what I did for you.
For many will surpass me
Whether or not I let it be.
Remember me
For how I made you feel
When we were surrounded by many
Or not at all any.
Don’t remember me
When I am gone,
When you can’t see me anymore,
When you can touch me no more.
Remember me
Every day in your heart,
As I still have more to give,
As I live.
For I don’t want to be
The past you carry on.
I want to be
The present you thrive on.
Wow! Stunning
So powerful Mia.

Beautiful, Mia! Absolutely riveting, actually.
Please, is somebody writing this down? Your poetry deserves to have an anthology set around it. The best means to preserve it for the ages.
Naturally, Mia, you give the most sterling truth resonance. We’re aspirational creatures, meaning things worthwhile aren’t about where we are, but where we’re headed. It’s not the single moment, but the eternal tapestry they all weave. Would that we grasp this concept, and you’ve written lyrics for life’s enchanting music.

Well, I am preserving my work. 😅
Yes, our aspiration makes us weave the eternal tapestry. Hopefully, the ones after us will preserve it.

Mia, I know it’s a bit late, but I want you to know that you can call me by either of the two names: Rocío or Olga, which is mine too. It’s just that I created a new site, a different one from that where I used “Olga”, and I needed a change and so I started using “Rocío”, as it appears in the name of the new blog. Rocío, is a Spanish name (I am Spanish) and it means “dew”. I played with the meaning a bit. But call me as you wish. I answer to both.

Olga. Oh yes, I remember having visited your site by that name! Yes, I know you are Spanish because every time I visit your site, I press the translate button to understand the words in English. I don’t speak Spanish. 😅 But hey, you have some beautiful sketches that I really like and they don’t need any language. Nevertheless, thank you for taking time out to explain to me.
