Go, Be a Fool

Enough with the smartness.
Enough with rightness.
Go, be a fool once in a while.
Go, live freely for sometime.

You think too much.
You do way much more.
But has it all always borne fruit?
But has it all made you happy?

A machine was made for a reason.
A person obviously not for the same.
Let the machine be always accurate.
Let the person err.

Don’t worry about being the odd one.
Don’t trouble yourself for everyone.
More than a few want to be like you.
More than you know would love to be with you.

Let your clumsy side show.
Let yourself be cute.
You are not perfect.
You can’t act all your life.

Stop making your life difficult.
Stop treading the tight rope.
A little craziness never hurt anyone.
A little air never killed someone.

So don’t make any more excuses.
So don’t use others as excuses.
Just get out and do your thing.
Just switch off to switch on right again.

Rather out than in.
Rather regret doing than not.
Take that step you always wanted.
Take than chance on yourself.

Go, be a fool in love.
Go, be a fool in life.
For it is better than fooling yourself.
For God’s sake, be a fool!

    1. Thank you so much for your lovely words! I’m humbled. 😊

      A lovely coincidence, right?

Also, you have been a good support to my blog since quite some time. So can I please know your name so I can mention it when I thank you in the comments? 🙂

      1. Oh!
        My name is Mary. 🙂
Honestly, Mia, you’re one of the nicest and most kind bloggers I have met on this platform, and I always feel so happy and comfortable sharing my thoughts on your posts.
        I think you’re simply amazing, Mia. 🙂

  2. This poem is so powerful….beautiful message….sometimes we / humans are so calculated & scared of let loose….to be a fool….entangled in “what if” & then “no can’t do”….without the bulletproof… Just be a fool….

    1. Thank you so much for your appreciation, Navin! 🙂

I’m glad that you could connect to it. We all need to let loose once in a while. That’s when we give space to real happiness.

  3. Thank you, Mia. It really is relaxing, and yes, exhilarating too, not to have to be ratcheted up to “10” day in, day out. What’s the point of constructing so imposing an edifice (or so the world believes it to be) if the person living inside is stressed and is thoroughly depleted?

Oh, and what about you, Mia? You’ve given us a succession of sparkling gems, each one outshining the last. You’re running hot; you need to coast a bit, or you’ll jam the cylinders.

Maybe your next post should be, “Why I just love, Love, LOVE Sparkly Stickers!!!!”

The text should be “Just because I do!!!!!”

Make sure you include all the exclamation points, because without them this wouldn’t work.

    1. The pleasure is all mine. It really is. 🙂 Which brings me to your next point. Firstly, I heartily thank you for your concern. I wish someone would show such concern at my workplace. So the least I can do for myself is to let myself be, whenever I can. That’s why I write. This is who I am. This is what makes me happy. As in, really happy. 😊

      P. S. I do love sparkly stickers!
