In common with so much of what you write, Truths exist on more than one level. The longer one contemplates, the more riotous the bloom.
There’s the first pass, which is a reminder to appreciate what we’ve had all along, rather than investing all our emotions in a distant fantasy.
So true, yet yours also is a tale of human nature. Never do we yearn more than when someone leaves. By our sides? “Whatever.” Walking away? “Come back. Please!”
No doubt, even more levels await. “Tiny” in name only, Mia!

Sometimes, though, he/she never returns. In fact, interesting question, how often are we ourselves the person whose departure caused subsequent pining? I suppose we’ll never know, though it’s bound to have happened from time-to-time.
Even that cruelty confers benefits, though, as it illustrates the importance of doing just what your Tiny Tale advises.

No problem, it’s my fault. You had asked and I hadn’t answered. 🙂 Muttado was a name I made up after finding the picture of the dog in the Elizabethan collar, and I used it as an account name on the RhymeZone poetry site. It’s just a play on Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” and a mutt being a blend of many things. My poetry style seemed to be that way, a blend of many nothings. I used the same name to set up my poetry site, so it shows as my account name. The dog picture is also on my site. Sorry for the confusion.
