She dreamt of someone walking towards her.
But one day, someone always alongside walked away.
As her heart crashed, she knew love.
She dreamt of someone walking towards her.
But one day, someone always alongside walked away.
As her heart crashed, she knew love.
Sometimes, partitions indicate true love. Well expressed, Mia!

Beautifully expressed, Mia. Of course.
In common with so much of what you write, Truths exist on more than one level. The longer one contemplates, the more riotous the bloom.
There’s the first pass, which is a reminder to appreciate what we’ve had all along, rather than investing all our emotions in a distant fantasy.
So true, yet yours also is a tale of human nature. Never do we yearn more than when someone leaves. By our sides? “Whatever.” Walking away? “Come back. Please!”
No doubt, even more levels await. “Tiny” in name only, Mia!

Thank you so much for your gracious words, Keith! 😁 I’m glad that you are able to see the different levels in my tales. Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder!
Yes, the “come back, please” is what makes one actually rethink everything that ever happened. And hopefully hold on tighter than ever once it is back! 🙂

Yes, Mia, agreed. Certainly
Sometimes, though, he/she never returns. In fact, interesting question, how often are we ourselves the person whose departure caused subsequent pining? I suppose we’ll never know, though it’s bound to have happened from time-to-time.
Even that cruelty confers benefits, though, as it illustrates the importance of doing just what your Tiny Tale advises.

You are very right. We could also have inadvertently caused the pain. Just makes one wonder… Now that’s the power of a good exchange — making the other think. 🙂

Such a beautifully written sad poem on selfishness. Kind of like the line in Joni Mitchell’s song “Big Yellow Taxi”: “That you don’t know what you’ve got til its gone”

I’m really sorry for getting your name wrong, Stephen. 😅
If you don’t mind, then could you tell me the meaning of “muttado?”

No problem, it’s my fault. You had asked and I hadn’t answered. 🙂 Muttado was a name I made up after finding the picture of the dog in the Elizabethan collar, and I used it as an account name on the RhymeZone poetry site. It’s just a play on Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” and a mutt being a blend of many things. My poetry style seemed to be that way, a blend of many nothings. I used the same name to set up my poetry site, so it shows as my account name. The dog picture is also on my site. Sorry for the confusion.

Please don’t feel apologetic. There’s no need for that. 🙂
Good to know the story behind how you came to zero in on the name you wanted to write by. It is actually a clever play of letters. I found it intriguing, so asked. 🙂
Stay happy and safe, Stephen.
