Call me my age
Because I won’t have it any other way.
Treat me my age
Because I have earned it anyway.
I am a lady,
No longer a girl.
It’s no longer “Sadie,”
“Sarah” can’t be taken for a whirl.
My looks might deceive
But my words will not.
What my past did receive,
My present will not.
I do still have within
Happiness, confusion and rage.
But how they have changed out and in!
So call me my age.
